Odometer stopped working but Speedo works

I'm at school and need to get to class and I don't have the time to search. Today on my way to school I noticed that my Odometer stopped working but the speedometer works. Do I need to get a new Speedometer cable or something for the dash cluster? Is there a way to check the connections without having to pull out the dash cluster? Or could it just be something else?

Something is wrong with your dash cluster...there is only one cable that runs from the tranny to the cluster I believe...and then there are gears inside that make the speedo and the odometer run from the 1 input cable.

It it happen after you reset your trip? If so reset your trip again.

Try the above. The ODO and Speedo are driven of the same cable.

hate to hack this thread but my speedo and odo went out the other day also. both went out at the same time. new cable or vss sensor? thanks
