O2 sensors switching

My friend ran the codes when the CE light started shining intermintently. He says my one bank is lean and the other is rich and they are not switching. Anyone know what "switching" is?

Does he mean they switched O2 sensors and are getting the same code? If that's the case, did they clear the stored codes (reset the computer) between tests? That's important.

Let us know what he means...we'll try to help!

No the 02's have a refrence voltage and it will alternate ie switch above and below. The range is from 0-1 volt and never below/above. The reference voltage is .45 volts. If its switching it should cycle above and below .45 volts.
