I have received the following message from Christa at VIR. The items in brackets ( ) are the questions I asked her.

DJ,
(1: When can we 1st get in on Saturday? What do we need to do to notify ourselves as club members?)
The gates will be open and you can enter anytime on Sat. morning. Our gates are open 24 hours a day on big weekends. I would suggest to come in around 7 or 8 am and you can park and see racing when it starts. If you use the promo code(GCCC11) I sent you it will be printed on the ticket and that will identify you use as a car club member.

(2: Is there a special area for club corrals, or is it just trying to establish an corral in the general parking area.)
We will have car show and car clubs in front of the gallery. It be the responsibility of someone with your group to come in and park in an area for your group.

(3: What do we need to do to qualify for touring laps during the lunch break?)
I think all you will need for touring laps is the ticket with the promo code on it. You will have to sign a waiver before going on track and get an armband, but that is it.

Thanks,

Crista Walker

I won't be able to get there until about 9:30am. Can anyone get there sooner? Let me know if there are any other questions. Anyone interested in the special box lunch deal for $8.00 per person, or any other ideas for food? :salute:

I am totally down for this, this time my finances are relatively steady so I can plan accordingly.

What kind of total costs are we taking about here?

Does the $10 ticket only cover being there?
If so, what are registration costs to run on the track?
If not, that's awesome.

I would be interested in the $8 special. It would be easier to have a ready made lunch rather than trying to plan around lunch.
