Kinda plain, but fortunately I have endless supply of paper and printing services courtesy of the BF... It annoys me A LOT LESS than the dotted 89 stock gauge faces (errr face?)! Just something I threw together in Photoshop in about an hour's time. I will be changing the lighting to blue once the bulbs arrive (any day now) and will post night shots when I get those installed.
The words for the dummy lights are just kinda "there" and when they light up, it glows around the letters. The turn signal lights and the high-beam light is "invisible" until you use them, then they light up.

Just a "heads up" ...

Unless you have some fancy way of backilghting it, the lighting will be very inconsistent. The mechanical portions of the individual gauges get in the way :madflame:

could you hook some small tubelights in there? Lil Neons? I was thinking about doing that on my mustang, I have glow gauges in there now, I wanted radiant red glowing needles, against the glowing blue,it would look hot!:dribble: I like it, really crisp, are you thinking of putting one of the bezels in there, the chrome or aluminum ones? The billet cruise control butons for mustangs will fit our steering wheels. It would be a nice way to bring the brushed metal look into the cabin. Looks good Tara.

Yeah I know about the lighting, I've already got shadows after the needles. I'm not gonna stress about that.
I didn't notice the Yam logo was upside down! :bonk: I got it from google and didn't do anything but make it black and white and downsize it to fit.

Have you gotten any pics of the gauges with the blue lights installed?

The blue bulbs will be put in either this afternoon or tomorrow morning, but we'll post pics of it when we have it done. :thumb:

Tara-Nick, any forward progress on the gauge face? I am curious to see how my 89 would have looked like with the white face. :dribble:

Yeah, I'll throw some up for sale in the FSHOC store. :snicker:

Got the blue LED's installed last night and it looks pretty killer! Well, except for the shadowing problem. If go to a different setup in the 89, unfortunately you have to deal with that because the lighting is basically integrated into the stock gauge face, and after you get rid of that you are stuck lighting it from the front with the two bulbs already there unless you want to rip everything apart and try backlighting it. I'm not going to attempt that one unless I have an extra gauge cluster to practice on. I don't trust myself that much. :p But I was also thinking about getting one more LED and mounting it in the top, shining down. This would probably eliminate, or alleviate at least, the shadow problem. I will take pics tonight after it gets dark. :thumb:

And did no one notice that the car is off but the speedo is lying at 10mph!? It took a few tries to calibrate the speedo again, and for some reason it won't read the correct speed while moving unless it sits at 10mph when the car is idling or off.

I hope this helps. :thumb:

Cool, thanks. It's weird though because it worked normally before I changed gauges.
Anyway, here's pics:

It's nowhere near that bright in the bright spots of the picture, but Nick was using my mom's camera that doesn't have manual settings so I can't adjust to make it look like it really does. Anyway, need another light in the top and it should look good!
