Hey everybody, I'm looking to buy my first SHO, test drove a 2010 today and totally fell in love! I was really considering a new Challenger, but after today, thinking the SHO is the way to fly(literally!) I have had a ton of performance cars the last being an 07 Mustang GT with a ton of mods. Currently have an 06 Hemi Commander. Couple of questions, what is a good deal on a new SHO with Nav and all options? How is the real world gas mileage?(anything is an upgrade over my Commander!) Anybody have any reliability issues with the EB yet?
BTW, my name is Doug and Im in Lockport Il, about 1/2 hour southwest of Chicago. I really like the forum so far and am looking forward to getting to know some of you!

I can tell you that I am getting between 21 and 25 mpg with my SHO, if I do mostly highway driving at 57-62 mph, I can experience about 28 mpg...I'm really happy with the mileage I have gotten with this car.

gas mileage for me has been awesome... i came from an rx-8 which was terrible something like 16mpg

my road trip this summer from ontario canada to washington dc in the SHO I avg. 29mpg at 70-80mph running 93 octane from BP (cheapest gas at the time for a road trip)
4 people almost full trunk of luggage and tires pumped a few psi more than specified

it took me 2 weeks to break in the engine and have the oil changed to royal purple at 2000km a few days before the trip... a K&N air filter was installed the day after delivery

if you still need to haul as many people as the commander i suggest you look into the ecoboost Ford Flex

I'm getting ~17-18 mpg city, I don't push my car much. Highway driving I was seeing ~22. Seems to me if you can get the car below sticker (which seems very likely with it being a 2010), you would be getting a good deal.

Doug, did you get a SHO? Some other threads with pricing discussions on remaining 2010 SHOs if interested.

Hey Doug, welcome to the forum  I'd check on getting X-plan. If you don't know anyone to get it from, I can check to see if I can pass you through. I'm getting 17-18 mpg city driving and on a recent trip, I got 27 with 100% highway driving at 70 mph. Oh, just before I left on this trip, I checked my tire pressure... 35 psi. I've got N2 in them (these are my winter tires) and none of them lost any pressure at all over a year's time. My stock tires lost between 2# and 5#. I guess N2 works!
