Alright, the new windshield is in! After the outfit shows up 3 hours late. I fired up the torpedo heater at 9:30 for a 1pm appt... The guy who shows up was the owner of the co. Did a nice professional job. Man the "new/modern" glass tools compared to the ones I used to use! Then the price he quotes me is $20 more than I was quoted Friday... He calls in, and we settle up. I figured out what happend though... The girl who amswered the phone Friday wasn't who did today... She prolly didn't do the markup right. I think they were maybe stalling so I'd say F*** it and go else where. The price was really good compared to others. I used to do a little bit of glass on the side in Baltimore and had an Idea of cost... And is a good brand of glass.

Now what 's the trick to putting the hood on with out hurting the windshield? It was a REAL PITA taking it off. I loosened the bolts. I popped the clips on the struts to be ready to fall off. Padded the corners with fender covers and still broke/cracked (havent really checked) the cowl plastic. I need to get it back on so I can adjust the hood and fenders now the core has been pulled back out.

Just had a windshield put on at my home a few weeks back. Didn't have to remove the hood. Why did you remove the hood?

What did it cost you...? I just got a quote for $135.00 installed, $25.00 extra if they come to me! Sounds like a great deal, Chicago, IL

I know another person is best. But being I'm unemployed right now and have all the time in the world to "play" I'm usually on my own. But a buddy of mine just e-mailed that hes coming in from OSU for the weekend. He's gonna stop by on X-Mas and give me a hand while he picks up some Mustang parts. And we're gonna drink a few, he totalled his '03 Cobra last week...

Plato, thats a **** of a deal! Mine was "quoted" $162, they were gonna charge $20 more for the mobile install. I said I don't have tags on it yet and I have all the trim plus the hood off and the girl said she'd knock off mobile fee. Man, the power tools used for windshield removal.... Compared to the HAND tools I used to use... Took the guy all of ~10 minutes to remove the old one!
