Hello All... I am new to the SHO world but am very old in the Mustang world. Just got a leftover 2013 SHO with the performance pack and have a few questions. Is there any way to remove the rear sun shade, How does one retrieve the tagged songs from the computer in the car, How do you upgrade the BOV's to VTA and make them be heard. Also do you need a tune when you upgrade to a cai? Thanks

Welcome & congrats! What color is your SHO? Do you plan to mod it?

What history with Mustangs :) Sad to say, I have never even driven one, but for an '84 stick 2.3L base.

Thanks guys. I picked up a black on black 13' SHO with the performance pack. My mustang history was with the fox body's and an S197 all stick. I had 5 of em. 2 86' 5.0s a 91 and a 92 and an 06' all worked with at least 300 hp at the wheels. I'll check them out and see what's up. Thanks for the info.

I was thinking down the road I do a time and cai with a bov upgrade but can't seem to find the info I'm looking for. Like can I get a cai without a tune. That's a nono on the f150 and mustangs.

Currently available CAIs for the SHO are mostly for looks or sound. There are a couple in the works that look promising from a performance point of view, no final results yet. If you do get one of these available CAIs, you do not need a tune for it.

Ok sounds good. That's a good thing they allow the cai's not to have a tune required. What would you all suggest.

Getting a tune is your best bang-for-the-buck performance mod. Ideally, along with that, you should replace (or in this case, just re-gap) the spark plugs with sp534s or equivalent with a 0.030 gap, change the 2 bar MAP sensor to a 3 bar, and swap the thermostat for a 170 or 160 degree unit. To date, this setup will net you the best/easiest gains.

Further down the road, you can add downpipes (Y pipe) that pass emissions, maybe even bigger turbos. This would likely push you very close to the limit of what the stock system can deliver.

Many owners are running full synthetic oil at this time, and this may help improve the longevity of the engine as well. Seems to help prevent oil buildup in various parts like the intake, intercooler, etc.

Welcome to the SHO world. I see you're in Philly. I am from Chester County. I just bought a 2010 about a week ago. We should cruise some back roads sometime. I'm trying to find some car clubs near us but don't know where to start.
