Good! I'm with you on real chrome! Growing up, a friend's mom had a 65 Bonneville convertible. What a beautiful car, so much chrome, especially compared to my mom's rambler!

Hey, I like Ramblers. Funky for the time. Bring back AMC! and get Jeep away from Chrysler...

SM105K, all chrome on SHO's must die? What about the 60s and 70s land yachts?
Yes I hate the chrome look 4th/5th Gen SHO's. Case in point below.
20190611 172852
20190301 083227

The days after the chrome died...
20200823 075739

20200815 104711

For my next trick...all the dark gray plastic cladding will turn black as well.

Now 50's, 60's, and 70's cars have a special place in my heart for chrome. I just hate it in SHO's.

Hahah. Certain changes to the 4th/5th Gen SHO's can really make them look amazing. Most people have zero idea what my SHO is, then have a hard time believing its a Taurus.

Anytime twin! The tuxedo black is hard to keep clean but when it is clean, but looks awesome when the sun hits it. I noticed your cladding across the bottom is grey also. I've seen some with all black and thought the newer models came that way. I wonder if anyone has darkened the flower wheels a few shades. Being in Michigan, have you thought about winter rims and tires yet? I know...cha ching cha ching.
Yes, I’m going to look for some winter wheels and tires ASAP. Interceptor if I can find them maybe. Just picked the car up now in Wisconsin, staying the night in Chicago and heading home in the morning.

Yes others have mentioned those wheels. Your car looks so clean. Have fun with it this weekend.
Just got back to MI. Made it from the dealership in Wisconsin to home on one tank of gas, didn’t average too bad of gas mileage either! And you know I was having a little fun too so I’m surprised lol

Hey Gang,

I’ve wanted one for about a year now but it took a while to find one that met my very particular specifications.

This week I will be going to pick up my 2018 PP SHO. I’ll be flying to another state to pick it up and driving it 6.5 hours home.

I am so happy I found this forum, there is a treasure chest of good information here to begin my build slowly but surely.

Nice! You did the same thing, I flew out to washington and drove back with my SHO too. Great way to get to know a car with a good long ride.

Bumperplugs.com and they have all the factory Ford colors so I was able to get them in shadow black to match the car. Kind of pricey ($35) but still better then the ugly holes there or getting a new bumper
