Bugs
1995 ATX. Ok, I did some reading and decided to pull some codes. I warmed the engine up for 15min before pulling the codes... they are as follows and in this exact order order:
551
551 (M)Problem in Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) solenoid/circuit - Solenoids)
1
172
172 (M)Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean - Single, Right orr Rear HO2S - Fuel control)
173
173 (M)Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was rich - Single, Right orr Rear HO2S - Fuel control)
332
332 (M)EGR did not open/respond during test or if memory code, did not open intermittantly - EVR or PFE)
Then nothing at all. I did this three times just to make sure I counted correctly and I did. Am I correct in assuming that the "right" O2 is the one closest to the firewall? As for the rest of the codes, please give me your input so I can track all this down and replace parts/clean as needed.
Also, I have replaced that piece for the EGR that is ON the back of the intake... the EGR vacuum sensor? One electrical connection and two vacuum ports on the bottom of it. It's shiny now. the old one looked clogged in the vacuum ports. I removed the EGR and Tube from the exhaust and cleaned them with Carb and TB cleaner and also where the EGR connects to the intake with Carb and TB cleaner as well as with SS and Brass pipe cleaners. I also cleaned the MASS Air with Mass Air Sensor Cleaner... I used the whole can
I have replaced the air filter with an STP filter. I will be doing a full tune-up and oil change as soon as I can afford those daggum valve cover gaskets. :/ At least I get 20% off of my parts (except oil) for working at AutoZone.
