I had an upolstery shop recover the leather on the seat portion of my cloth/leather driver seat for $75. They did a nice job but I had to repair the bolster switch.

I would be happy to get together with several people to get the front seats done. Not too many shops in NYC are willing to undertake the task as they are not certain where they would get the perforated leather. I am also wondering if it would also be possible to retrofit somehow a seat heating element (as an aftermarket addition) as I do in my S4. Works great in cold weather.

Also, anyone know where I might be able to still pick up the Police Grille on my '91? I am the original owner.

There is a company, that offers kits for heating seats, also sells vibrators, these are all placed under the upholstery and cost about $130.00 ea.
I can find the company if anyone is interested, and I can order for you.

Would it include all the appropriate wiring and switches as well, I definitely want to make it look as much as stock as possible. Do you have a website for this company?

Group-buy for leather person = me.

I've still got everyone's email, and will be sending out another update.

If you haven't been to the page, read the info, and filled out the form, go there now:

I'm working with leatherseats.com to get a pattern made for Gen1 SHO's, and Gen3 SHO's. I need to do a bit more research, and I'll be posting an update to the page soon.

I think the company that makes the heaters and vibrators for seats has a website, I think the company is called Katz or something like that, and yes, I think the kit is complete and easy to install. As I recall, heaters and vibrators were a little over 100 bucks each. They're about the same that Lexus and Mercedes Benz uses. I can look through my literature and try to find the company if you are interested.

Harrisb - I traded emails with Leatherseats.com to find out about the gen 1 group buy. I'll forward to you what they sent me so you will have all the info.

I have some covers I could send them, but they never got back to me on whether or not they needed the entire seat.

If they could keep the price under $600 there would probably be more takers. A lot of the high mileage gen 1s are not worth much, who wants to put a $1000 interior in a $1000 car?

I may have some preforated mocha leather for patch work for sale soon. From my understanding, the reason it`s so expensive to repair our seats is because of the preforated part.
