New rear Koni's?

I bought a set of front koni's from tire rack and now im searching for a set of rears. I have emailed a couple places to see if they have any in stock. One place told me that the original SHO Koni's are out of stock and discontinued(thats what i thought was going to happen). They did tell me that this is its replacement:

8641 1323Sport 6/92-95 Taurus, Inc. SHO, (Exc. Wagon) REAR

I have a 94, so these should work right? Also has anyone ever heard of these or used them? Because i was under the impression that rear Koni's for SHO's were discontinued all together. What do you all think?

They will work. I recently called Koni for a warranty, and they had plenty of both the front and rears in stock.

Few Months back, I called Summit and they told me they can get me KOni for sure, just takes couple of month to get them.

guys, if you want my old KOnis for warranty replacement, I would trade you something for it. Maybe one front Sensatrack strut?
I don't have any receipt to get it replaced, so there is nothing i can do with them.

Or.... You can call tire rack and have a service rep get in contact Koni to get a new set.

I never would've thought you could buy koni's at tirerack. Thank you guys for the info. I'm going to research what's involved and buy them eventually.

It seems like there is an older model of Koni that is no longer made that fit all SHO's. And the new model only fits 92-95 SHO's? This is the exact email i got-

Actually, you are correct, those parts have been discontinued and replaced with these:
8641 1287Sport 6/92-95 Taurus, Inc. SHO, (Exc. Wagon) FRONT

8641 1323Sport 6/92-95 Taurus, Inc. SHO, (Exc. Wagon) REAR

It is based mainly on the length of the strut. After 92 they went to a short body. They will fit in any year but you need the correct length body strut. the 92+ is the short body.

Not long body's. Just get 6/92 + Short body housings, all will be well. They were 150 for the rears, 115 For the fronts.

you can get a new set of Koni's from Advanced Auto Parts...I just bought a new set of them for front and rear... along with new springs for the rear...

Just called them two days ago... rears still disco'd. They have a few fronts left tho still.

These companies on the "net" need to update their websites. There are a lot of places that say they have them, but don't. Koni's website says they have them, and they don't.
