I have some electrical gremlins in my 91 MTX. I was doing the computer upgrade in my car and installing a X2J. When I fired her up it idle around 3000 RPM and the check engine light came on. When the idle settled down after 10 min I tried to drive it and it stumbled and did not like to go much faster than 50 mph. Then I shut if off and tried to restart it and it did not restart. So I then put the old computer back in and it did the exact same thing! I tried pulling codes, but it would not even do the test(KOEO). The check engine light was on in the RUN position as it is supposed to be. So I got nowhere with codes. Where did I mess up? :frown:

Thanks so much for any help

Well, I got her to run right, finally. I took a real close look at the PCM connector and realized that some pins in the connector had been pushed out. So I pushed the pins back into the connector and hooked it to the computer and no more problems. Since the connector was broken in two from an over torqued bolt, it will need replaced at some point.
