First thing you wanna do is stop driving the car, a tranny without sufficient fluid will pretty much eat itself up. Secondly, check underneath your car to determine where it is coming from... maybe we can isolate a specific point and fix the problem. Let us know, I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will chime in. Best of luck.

I would stop driving it. It sounds like you have either some bad seals or possibly a cracked case. The fact that it is makeing noise is not a good thing. I would check the fluid and refill it then try to determine where the fluid is comming from.

I doubt the diff pin has caused the hole in the case, it would probably be undrivabel by now. The transaxle has several seals that can go bad, the axle seals, the shifter shaft seal, and input shaft seal. You could also be leaking from the case halves, best best is to clean it off, fill it up and find your leak.

Dont drive it. Bring it to a shop, if your tranny is leaking, you will blow it.
Are you in Pacifica, CA?
If so, drop me an email. We are neighbors, and maybe I can drop by and help you look for the leak.
