Hello all. I purchased my 2013 non-PP SHO about 18 months ago. I am really enjoying the car! Glad to find a group of fellow enthusiasts.

It is doing something pretty strange that I cannot figure out. When I first purchased the car the heater and a/c blew just fine. No issues at all. One day, I could make changes all I wanted to on the touch screen OR "buttons" on the console and the next I couldn't. I have checked the fuses, relays, and replaced the fan motor. Nothing. Lately I have noticed that if I powerwash the car, the blower seems to work again. I have no idea what correlation washing the car has to the problem, but I have tested and proven the theory that it helps.

Any thoughts on what could be happening here?

yup - your touch panel is busted... so these cars can have one two issues with AC/Heat vents - the vent actuators have a tendency of breaking. the touchscreen buttons are delicate and stop working and short out as well. There is a ton of posts on both, search actuator in Gen 4 section under troubleshooting. there is also a company that will repair your touch panel - that you will find here too. sorry i dont have the time to search the posts atm, however welcome, this is the place to be to properly maintain and fix your car. ALMOST every topic you can think of is here, just dig. if its old - that is fine, so are these cars by now.
