Been asked to introduce myself as a new member. Well, I'm in Massachusetts. Recently bought an 89 SHO MTX. One owner. 81,000 miles. Garaged winters. It's my second. My first SHO in 2000. It was a 1990 with 55,000. Great car. So, the 89 - put tires on it and new CV axles. And, have chosen to upgrade to a rod shifter. As expected, the SHOforum has been enormously useful. Thanks for that. jm4849

Welcome in.

Some would say that removing the cable shifter from a clean 89 is a sacrilege. I'm torn in the middle of that argument. I have everything to do the swap to my white 89 but to this point I can't bring myself to do it. It's a really clean California 89.
