Picked up a 2013 SHO saturday, one owner, clean carfax, though not much in the way of service records.
Anything I should be on the lookout for as far as things that might be going wrong soon?
Has 76k miles (a little high for the year, but the price reflected it, it drives and looks brand new, and it was the Green Gem Metallic color I was looking for)

Love that color, was looking for one when I got mine. Maintenance is key for these cars(well most cars). Change the PTU fluid and flush the coolant, not much else you can do.

Oh I’m very particular about maintenance. My previous vehicle was a 02 Suburban 2500 with 278k on it, still runs, just don’t need two vehicles registered. I kept up with all fluids, filters, etc and the biggest repair I had to do was replace the original transfer case at 260k.

I was just wondering if the catastrophic water pump and PTU failures were as widespread as some forums and reviews have led me to believe?

I work in a shop that provides picture cars for tv shows and movies, and we recently had two 13 Interceptors with the standard 3.5s lose water pumps at around 85k and 95k and we had to drop the engines to replace them.

Obviously I’m not too concerned since I bought the car anyway, just curious if regardless of regular maintenance that I should be bracing myself for those in the near future with a 76k car.
Thanks!

It does happen, the PTU is the weak point in the driveline. Regular fluid changes are your best bet at keeping it healthy. The water pump isn't a particularly failure prone part however the issue is as you know it's a major job to replace and since it can dump coolant into the motor may take it out as well.
