So I leased a 2015 SHO (driver assist, not PP), and I love it; there is a good chance I will buy it in 3 years, but then again maybe not. I want to do a tune to it. I hear that as long as you return the tune to stock when you bring it to the dealer, Ford cannot tell it was tuned. Is this accurate? Also, is it safe to tune the car without changing any other components, as in, will it put too much stress on the transmission or other drivetrain components? What is the best tune for someone who is not really that knowledgeable on these things, but just wants to get a little bit more fun out of his car? Of course I am capable of learning what I need to know, but I would prefer something just plug and play.

Welcome to the forum, good choice in the '15 SHO! A tune from a reputable tuner (Unleashed/LME etc) is the way to go. Just let them know your concerns/parameters, not looking to run the "hottest" tune, etc. Ford can tell if the SHO is/was tuned, yes. But generally the dealerships won't dig into it unless you blow something major on the vehicle. And since you will be running a safe/good tune, the probability of an adverse event should be very low (not zero though).
