Picked up a 1990 5-speed for 800 bucks! Has 97 thousand on it, only major work is a clutch replacement done by previous owner. Got it cheap cause some ***** decided to vandalize it with a bat/sledgehammer while it was broke down on side of the road! Only major damage is roof(plexiglass where sunroof used to be), rear right taillight, and front air-dam. And he made off with the stereo.
Mechanically she runs like a dream, I'd get a lot of tickets if it weren't for cruise control!!
If I ever get out from under my Powerstroke, I hope to start tinkering with the SHO!
Looks like an awesome site here, and I hope to learn/contribute a lot...

I will be doing a lot of searches to learn about this car (not a lot of space under that hood!) And to keep on topic I've gotta find out why my A/C stays on constantly instead of cycling like it should. Just recharged today.

Been a while since I've worked on something with sparkplugs but this site seems just as good/helpful as the dieselstop!

Welcome! A couple pieces of advice: Keep up on maintainence! And read up on The 60K/120K. It will help you to know now before you actually have to do it. SHOPP has a lot of good info on it!

800 bucks for a 1990 5 spd with 97k on it is a deal baby. Welcome to the land of cheap cars that are fun to drive. My 90 had 118 on it and I picked it up for 1700, but that one was pretty darn clean.

Sounds like your blower control module... On the passengers side underneath the dash... Has a sticker on it that says "The electronic blower control module...." Pretty easy to spot.
