SHO OFF
i went to the track the other saturday and while the wind was almost enough to have them close down the track i still managed a 10.24 with a 20 mph head wind. the mph was down a few from the head wind but the air was good so she hauled some butt, the 60ft was a 1.45 and the trap was 134, here is a video some one took from the stands. area91 ( brian ) and i will be yanking the ls1 next week or the week after and we are putting a 2004 Cadillac cts-v crate motor in its place, the old tired ls1 made a easy 508 whp so the new motor should make 600+ , we will also be adding meth injection just for a little extra safety. here is the video

oh and i guess i should post pics of how it looks now, since i posted the last thread in the dyno section i have made some changes to the car, the independent rear is gone and in its place is a ford 8.8/9 inch hybrid with a 4 link and coil over suspension, i was always breaking or bending stuff in the old set up, now its rock solid, also the wheels are now weld drag lites. here are a few photos.

and as you see other then the roll bar it looks unmolested from the hatch, only the savvy would notice the rear strut towers are gone.

and a few shots from the conversion process.

in this one you see the finished set up and can see the 2x2 box steel frame we welded into the original unibody "frame rails"

the best part is no flares or indication other then the fact the tires are wider then the stock wheel well could hold originally. as seen in this mock up photo.
