I searched for about four hours last weekend and couldn't find what I was looking for. Anyway, I have a tweecer R/T and am trying to put it in a 91 mtx but I can't remember what bank count to use. I've had this tweecer installed in my 93 atx before my old laptop died but I can't remember what steps I took to install it and all the info I can find isn't helpful enough. Can anybody walk me through installing my tweecer with the updated X2J binary I have? Much appreciated, Chris.

Install TwEECer software then download the updates (X2J.dat, CALEDIT.EXE, and CalCon.exe) from SHONut and replace the originally installed TwEECer files with the new ones you downloaded.

Here are some settings you should have:
Bank Count: 1
Strategy: X2J
Bank configuration: Four 2 Bank Programs

Remember to also setup your MAF transfer curve according to the MAF your using and your injector size (high and low slope scalars)

Ok, the four 2 bank is what I couldn't find. Now I have the above setting and I loaded Josh's original X2J Binary. How do you use the updated X2J though? I downloaded it and saved it to a disk. When I try to load it in utilities, it doesn't show up in the file it's saved under even though you can see it in there on the computer. BTW, has anyone experienced problems using the tweecer manual? Every time I try to download it or use it ( on 3 separate computers) I have problems. Maybe it's just a coincidence though.

No secondaries

Alright, I plugged the tweecer in tonight and ran into more problems. I have Josh's older X2J binary loaded and the secondaries don't work. They do work with the tweecer off. Everything else seems ok, just no secondaries. Also every time I open calcon or try to datalog I get an error message that says Invalid variant type conversion. Any ideas? Thanks, Chris.

anytime that happens,

I uninstall the software and reinstall it..

Gets rid of it for me.....im assuming the tweecer is still buggy....

I couldnt stress how important it is to have a clean contact for the tweecer to sit in, on the eec...

That fixed a lot of problems i was having....

FWIW, the free X2J maintenance updates that were released a few months ago are contained in the X2J.DAT file and should be installed in the Data directory of your TwEECer folder (typically "C:\Program Files\STKR 1.30A\").

Out of curiosity, which TwEECer manual are you referring to?

Out of curiosity, which X2J image are you using as the basis for your program?

Unfortunately, this well-known error is the result of an internal software bug, and, as Frank suggested, you will have to reinstall the TwEECer software package on your machine in order to resolve the issue. If, for some reason, reinstalling the software does not resolve the problem, let us know and we'll explore a few other troubleshooting avenues.

The new XJ2 is onlt 4kb, versus the old one being 6kb. So so I ADD it to the old XJ2, or replace it? Because I can not figure out how to ADD it.

Don't let it's size fool you - the new X2J.DAT file from Josh's site replaces the existing X2J.DAT file in your Data directory. ;)

Cool. Thanks. So when I replace it, do I have to resave my old calibration files as well? And what procedure would I use for that?

Awesome! I will be playing around with it next week. After I get it running decently enough, I plan on coming to TX and letting you loose on it Adam.
