Is anyone have original 1989 DIS module ? I need it part number to compare with other DIS that I have. Mine is E9DF-12A297-BA. It seems to be from Thunderbird.

Yeah I don't know of any exceptions like 89 vs 93 or SHO vs Tbird. They pretty much are all interchangeable as far as I remember.

My friend for whom I bought it says that it does not work. He says it must be F1SF and not E9DF

rubydist has always been told they are 100% interchangeable. as far as I know, the DIS module in that configuration (no matter what part numbers) work the same.

The proper name for the part is

Ignition Control Module ICM Group 12A199

Part #E9DZ-12A297-B 1989 SHO

Motorcraft #DY-554

The E9DF-12A297-BA (if that is what is stamped on the part) is an engineering number not a part number.

The 1989 Thunderbird 3.8 w/SC uses the same part as the SHO. That's what the book says YRMV.
