Hey gang.Did a search and got ALOT on bushings. To save time I need to know if this is the bushings I need.

SWAY BAR ENDLINKS
TWR-18259HD
2 req. (is that 2 per side or 2 for just front and 2 for rear?)

CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS
TRW-12698
2 req. (again 2 per side or 2 front 2 rear?)

As cheap as the bushings are what other bushings should I replace?
I really need to get my SHO going again.I'm driving my truck to work and it's costing $50 plus a week.Don't have time to use online vendors, but I do have Autozone,Advance, and NAPPA.

Thanks for the help!

You really should find time to use the online vendors for the bushings. www.rockauto.com is a great source for the TPR bushings.

The "heavy duty" plastic endlinks don't have the best reputation. I had a pair fail within 2 weeks of installation. They do come with a lifetime warranty so the next pair was free. Just the additional time to replace. Both shonutperformance.com and midwestsho.com offer an aluminum endlink.

You will need (2) of the sway bar endlinks. The rear endlinks are of a different design.

No one can tell you what bushings you need without looking under the car. Take a good look at their condition and make your best judgement.

I know I can not get diagnostics over the internet.I was just wanting to know if these were the bushings for our cars.I will probably go with the online vendors now so as I can get a better product. That, and I will need new tires after this mishap wore mine out.So it'll be a little longer to get it going it seems.I will search again to see what the BEST product is.Thanks for the replies thumb

I'd be surprised if older bushings resulted in premature tire wear. Regardless, it would be a good idea to have an alignment on the car after you install the new bushings and tires.

Here is a list of the bushings I recently replaced:

From SHONUT: # SNP-24FSBB front sway bar bushings, greaseable polyurethane

From Rockauto (w/ discount):
MOOG TPR # K8761 rear sway bar bushings
MOOG TPR # K8516 front tension to control arms
MOOG # K8613 front tension to body
MOOG TPR # K8675 rear tension to body
MOOG TPR # K8649 rear tension to knuckle

For the best price on the MOOG TPR rear swaybar endlinks, check with your local O'Reilly's and purchase their storebrand. Exact same part with the TPR bushings. I don't have the part number handy.

Let us know if you have additional questions.

Figure out how much you are willing to spend and assess the bushings. I replaced most of the suspension bushings, strut mounts, and endlinks. I spent well over $300 on parts alone. The Al. SFB's would put another $75-100 on top of that.

Damn... I shopped around today and all I could find in stock were those wimpy plastic links. My little cousin came home today and I needed a car project to work on. I've become fed up with the light but pretty constant clunk clunk from the shot end links. The plastic units look pretty tough, but definately aren't moog quality. Looks like I may be ordering from rockauto in 2 weeks. Their java powered site is simply awe inspiring.
