Hey guys, The next time anybody is close to Dooleyville, I could use an experienced SHO ear to find this annoying knocking sound emanating (sp?) from the rear passenger side of my 95.

AZ SHO OFF volunteered to take a ride in the trunk but we couldn't pinpoint the sound. Up on the lift, nothing "looks" worn or mis-aligned but I don't know enough about these cars yet to make knowledgable suspension guesses.

Thanks.

Tom,
My first thought would be sway bar endlinks or possibly bushings... I'll listen for it when I see you next.

Thanks Jason.

I got your shim needs list. Will call that motorcycle performance shop first thing Monday to see what they have. I will call you on your cell phone when I find out.

if it sounds like a bowling ball rolling around in the trunk when you turn a corner, then my bet would be that its the swaybar endlinks. Had that problem in Mich. 8.00 at napa. They rust and break off after awhile.....oh wait this is AZ..whats rust? It is easy to find if you have a lift, which you do.

That's a sign of a really good son. But he did leave the trunk open though. To my untrained eye, I can't see any rust or looseness in any rear end components. With the whole car on the lift, we jacked up the rear by way of the center support. then using a long pipe, we "bounced" each wheel up and down a little. Could not find any looseness at all. We will put it back up and look again later this week. Thanks.

Typically if it is a knock then the sway bar is in some way at fault.

Its a great excuse to upgrade to a 26mm RSB!

I got it on mine too, same side. Happens on a speed bump. Sounds like something inside a body panel a kind of "thunk"
