Need Advice

I hate going around asking for free advice like this, but then again i dontwant to dish out anyore money on my car. so im asking sho experts and if you could help me out at all,itd be much appreciated,
My Taurus has been on a steady decline. Every time i replace something it gets worse. The car has no hp at all. When you step on the gas, nothing happens and it chugs at about 3 mph. Eventually it can make its way up to about 40 mph tops..when the car starts it does the same thing..when you step on the gas itll sometimes make a (putt putt) sound. BUT WHEN IT GETS WARMED UP, THE CAR WILL REV IN NEUTRAL LIKE ITS IN TIP TOP SHAPE, but as soon as you put it in gear, it putts along again. Diagnostic reading keeps giving a Mass Air Flow sensor reading..and sometimes a DIS reading...plugs have been replaced, the Mass Air Flow sensor has been replaced, fuel filter has been replaced, Throttle position sensor has been replaced, and the catalytic converters have been replaced, car dies when MAF is unplugged...im about ready to shoot this ******* car...any suggestions???

also, would like suggestions on this, although i love sho's to death, so far this one i have has been nothing but a huge headache...it was a hand me down from my dad and he often said he regretted buying the car...he put in over 6000 in maitenence and repairs over a 3 year period, ive put in over 1000 myself...and it just seems like its just one thing after the other...im thinking of getting rid of thedamn thing, but something makes me hold on to the hope that itll run good because its almost a brand new car under the hood..any suggestions on that one?

I hope someone with more SHO knowlege pops in.

My guess would be go to the DIS. Its throwing a code.

It also sound like the tranny may be trying to start out in 3rd (if its an auto).

Try starting out in first gear.

When my tranny went bad 1st was gone and the car would chug until it get into second.

Just a shot in the dark. Although it should throw a tranny code.

Anyone, Anyone?

Sounds to me like you may have an air leak somewhere beyond the MAF. Intake manifold, throttle body, or intake hose somewhere.

How's the idle? Make sure everything is tight. You can identify an air leak by spraying starting fluid around the gasket areas of the intake/tb/etc... The will change rpm's when starting fluid is sucked in through the leaky passage.
