With the 24/26mm combination in conjunction with TPS bushings, I find that the car drifts all four wheels around the faster corners on the track and, as you surmised, with very little body roll. Check the images in my signature of the car in action to see the limited roll under load in the corner. The first image shows the transition from heavy braking to initial turn-in with the front tires carrying most of the load. The second image shows the car in steady state mode during the corner. There is very little body roll and you can see both the front and the rear tires working by the noticeable sidewall deflection at both ends. That shot makes me think a little more negative camber at the rear would be a good thing.

Regarding the balance of the chassis under cornering loads, tire selection and small adjustments in the alignment parameters can make a significant difference in the handling behavior. With -1 degree camber at the front and -0.8 at the rear, the front tires plant solidly under load the back end can drift with the fronts under steady state cornering, or even swing wide with a little lift on the throttle, requiring unwinding a bit of steering lock to catch.

Find you a j-yard and bring a selection of 20-24mm wrenches and weed through the taurus section. They vary from car/model/year. You have 19.5 mm or so front, the 20.6, the 22, and the 24 (I believe the front po-po ones were 25?)

With a quaife, i wouldn't run anything bigger than a 22 front. Like Eric says, it's best (for the track) to get the roll stiffness from springs anyway. With street springs though, 22 is about as big as I would go (assuming 26mm rear is the constant).

I think you guys are thinking a slightly smaller bar is going to turn the thing into a noodle. My full weight 92 has your typical tokico/eibach set up and I run a 20.6 front/26 rear. All things being equal (tires/wheels/alignment settings) it's going to be faster around any given track than if you stuck a 24mm front back on. And the tighter the track, the faster it'll be...(trust me, I've tried them all)

Agreed. My autocross times got faster each time I put on a smaller and smaller swaybar until I finally did away with the thing.

This may have been mentioned already in this thread and in others before it but, who is making all these sway bars? I assume SHO bros has a few. Eibach, Addco?

The sizes mentioned are all stock. SHOs and plebian Taurii shipped with all sorts of different swaybar combos. Sorting through jys, ebay, etc., gets you what you need. I've got a stack of 'em in my garage of various different sizes that I've used for tuning the silver car and da pumpkin.

Tell me about it. I have a 22mm up front on my ATX and she feels like a Nose Heavy Pig going hard into corners. I dont have any traction problems but would like to make her more confidence inspiring thru corners. Then again I am a little biased from riding a sportbike. :nut: Currently looking for MTX as well and may have one this weekend.

My stock '95 ATX had the 20.5 bar up front, and a 22 IIRC in the rear. I swapped that out for the 24/26 combo and it was night and day. My SHO doesn't see a track, but it gets driven aggressively and enjoyably on the street. Switching those bars and adding SFC's has made it a pleasure to drive on the street.

Mine came stock with a 23/20.6. Yes, the rear one was a lot smaller than the front. I added a 26 rear, and the car now stays pretty flat around corners and it doesn't feel like the tail is going to swing out. In other words, I feel safe taking a sharp corner at 50mph.

Do you recomend I change my 91 + setup? With the Koni's and coil over's It's pretty stiff. I am still running the stock 24/26 combo and like it.
