Just purchased my first SHO. Its a 1992 mtx with 113,000 miles and it needs a 60k done real soon. I'm asking for any help finding a mechanic who knows the SHO engine and can do a 60k for me. If anybody knows of someone close I appreciate the help. Thanks.

how difficult is it to change the spark plug well seals? I've heard those wear out on these engines as well allowing for oil to seep into the spark plug wells.

Road trip to MI & I'll do it for you! If you want to do it yourself I have a Shim Kit with all the tools for rent. PM or call me. Just takes time & patience esp if its your first. Do you have another driver while the SHO is down? I will be glad to talk you thru the whole upper 60K=valve cover gaskets, valve clearance check & shim replacement. Call to talk. See sig!

Not bad at all. Just do it with the upper 60K. The hardest part for me was taking all the crap off the intake manifold.... Oh yeah, and putting it all back on without forgetting anything. Some people told me to be careful with the valve cover bolts because they break easily. I didn't have any problems but maybe because I was careful.
Check out the SHO phoenix project link above. If you need more advice, SHOBILL's your man. He knows his stuff!
