I recently got into an accident with my 92 sho. The front bumper is messed up, I need a new hood, the front passenger side quarter panel needs replacing, and all the light housings on the passenger side needs to be replaced. I then have two 1st gen parts car available to me for use, I am not able to look at them at this time, my uncles owns them and he is away on vacation. My question is will i be able to fix my beloved 2nd gen with 1st gen parts?

The hood is a definate no. I found this out first hand when i tried to put a SHO plus hood on a 2nd Gen Taurus. Its like 4 inches too short, it will bolt up... the hood struts will line up and it will latch too, but it wont meet the headlights. So you could use it temporarily. But it will look crappy.

No these parts are not interchangeable. You'd be better off with SLO parts than GenI parts. Look for parts sho's in the classifieds here and at shoclub.com classifieds.

shospazz, that ebay car was a WHOLE nose, and yes it will bolt up. The body lines didnt match up, and that car looked terrible, but it did bolt up, as he did everything in front of the doors, (fenders, lights, mounting panel, bumper, hood, inner bumper, etc.. etc.. 92 taurus I have most of the parts that you would need, email me at [email protected]
