im embarrassed to report my 2017 PP,93 octane v11, 3bar, t-stat (only 3,250 miles on odo) ran a paltry 13.3@103mph last night at New England Dragway!
I’ve reached out to Anthony at Livernois via email to see if he can help me troubleshoot what the **** is going on ??
I launched@ 2k, tire psi set to 35, TC off, shifter in S mode.
Maybe I need to pull and check plug gaps... IDK. Research tells me I should be 12.9@105-107 ??

What do u all think?
Thanks
Dan

Your sixty foot is terrible for an AWD car. Was the track slick? A 1.80 sixty foot will put you right at a 12.90/13.00.

His second slip was a 1.91 60' and still SAF.

I agree with tire pressure for starters. Are you manually shifting or just running it in S mode but letting the car shift itself? If you are shifting yourself that could be adding a few 10's to your time.

I am simply running it in S mode, no manual shifting.

Leave it in automatic too.

Even the most excelled of drag stripper's would have a challenging time out maneuvering the computer.

Let it do the work for you.

I agree....I always love the manual guys........

"I outshifted that automatic!" - said no manual driver ever.

Vehicle loaded down significantly? Other passenger, decided to hit track on the way home from the grocery run etc...? I would go not much more than about 1/2 tank for drag testing. You could go to a quarter if you know there isn't too long of a line. My 2016 run after the LMS Tune AND DYNO run came in at 1.957 0-60 13.2 1/4 mile at 104.51 MPH. Roll out for that run was 130.

One final thought and recommendation find a DYNO shop in your are that specializes or at least have experience with the Ford E/B Family. I had local shop that offered three runs for $100. I used three runs for pre tune dyno and three runs after. Another trick is run 93 Octane for at least two tanks prior to each DYNO visit. Lets the PCM get used to the new octane and adjust timing.

The 60 foot time of 1.91 is not that bad at all. It is about what I always ran with my MKS on my way to a 12.7 @ 109 quarter mile. Are you getting much wheelspin? If not, I don't see the point of lowering pressure when all it would do is increase rolling resistance. Of course, if you are spinning like crazy, lower pressure could help but it seems to me that your car is not pulling like is should after the 60 foot mark.

As others have said, run in Sport mode and let it shift automatically. It will be interesting to hear what Anthony says. I would be inclined to ask him to send you a new file to load. Maybe there was a hiccup in the first one.

especially w/ a tune, lms in mine have it shifting at max hp time. manual shifting when getting all involved in the run & hitting the rev limiter are pretty good.

Thank you all for your advice and suggestions. All my runs were in S mode and I let the car upshift on its own!
Anthony is going to pass along my time slips to the calibrators and we’ll see what they say.
I’m inclined to agree with bruce and receive another file or start over from scratch ( return MyCal device, receive new MyCal etc....

The reason for me going to the drag strip was to get a “ baseline” of how fast my sho is.... or in my case.... how slow she is

I don’t want to buy another tune from another company....only to find the same result ?

Keep you posted
Thanks guys

I'm also LMS tuned with the same mods and you ran pretty identical to me and my car is slightly heavier and the DA was worse (+3250). How high were you brake boosting? And lastly, 13.3 in these boats isn't anything to be embarrassed about.

Brake boosting @2k, ya, I was hoping for 12.9 though.

Can't wait to see what LMS says! 13.7 is about average for a stock SHO! 13.3 is definitely not good.

I think I already know the answer to this but did anyone at Livernois provide you with any ideas on this?
