my 94 and brake grinding probs

hello everyone! i was doin some searching on the net for my prob im havin and came across this site.so heres my prob.i own a 94 sho 3.0L and am having problems with my brakes latly.it seems when im in first or second gear sometimes third,i get a grinding noise comin from my brake pedal i can hear it too when i press on the brakes,i get a palsating vibration and it is really hard to press the brakes down.if i force them my front tires lock up and the car comes to violent stop.pretty dangerous for me in snow and rain...come close a few times if u know what i mean.any suggestions on this im concidering taking it to ford and maybe getting my antilock disconnected also forgot to mention i did brakes and rotors today also and still am havin the same prob.

Your ABS is cycling. It could be any of a number of problems. First thing you should do is get under there and check all of your sensor rings.

IMH Sounds liek two problems, the ABS as he mentioned, and a sticky caliper for the general grinding you are hearing.

Let your car coast to a stop, get out and see if any of the calipers are insanely hotter than all the others, that's the sticky one.

For the ABS problem, start with the sensors, make sure they are all equally gapped from the little knobby exciter ring that spins with the wheel. Measuer all 4, you will find one farther out of gap than the other three, set it back to the gap of the other 3. This happened to me, and I found one of my sensors was just dangling.
