Dude, broski. This is the V8 performance section. You have a V6 with a ton of molding on it. This doesn't make it a V8.

Thank you

/pretend mod

PS. Ebay chrome rims need to go. Some 18" black or gunmetal ones would look much better :D.

PPS. Car needs to be lowered.

It's a show car, it's supposed to be over the top. I wish I had to skills to do the custom car audio.

^^ That's WAY more than over the top dude.

I wouldn't drive that car to save my life.

Like I said though, I LOVE the audio.:dribble: Even the front isn't too bad. The back though. No.

Come on, seriously? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings..........

At least I mentioned positive things too. Give a guy some credit. I really do love audio systems. Alpine is some really nice stuff and it looks like he put a ton of time into it.

If you guys all think that the "audio" in his car is so great it really is not. its only two inexpensive alpine subwoofers in a box that is probably too small for them. I have had R's before and they need about 2 cubes a piece ported around 32-35hz to sound really good. they sound like crap in prefab boxes and sound a little less crappy in boxes that are smaller than what they should be in.

the capacitor that he has in the middle im hoping is just for "SHOw" and nothing else because it simply does nothing.

and he probably just has some alpine coaxials in the doors and rear deck off either the stock amps or head unit power so its not exactly all that great.

and the big "R" in the back is a little ridiculous, but yet again on that car what isn't? and depending on how high that box is in the back and what he did to cover up the hole for the sub in the rear deck how are you supposed to hear the subs?

I'll give him some kudos for the floor in the trunk though.

Type R's used to be Alpine's top of the line subwoofer, except maybe F1. Now they have the type X which is better than type R. Type R's used to be something to brag about. Now they're just middle of the line. They're a decent sub. The Precision Power amp is pretty nice.

That is a vented box by the way. I'm sure the subs sound decent in it. Covering the hole in the rear deck won't affect the sound.

first of all ive had both subs in the 12 inch versions. they are decent subs sure but its nothing to brag about now.

second just because its a vented box does not mean that its built to the specs of the sub. you dont know what the box is tuned at. most prefabs are tuned slightly higher then what it should be at. also i bet that box is around 2-2.5 cubes at most and probably doesnt have half enough port area to make the subs sound to their full potential. the box should be somewhere around 4 cubes for the subs to sound the best. but that is hard to fit in a taurus trunk so maybe this is all the guy could fit. its 20% equipment, 80% install.

i would also never call any new ppi amps "nice." if you want a nice ppi amp find any pre DEI amps like the art series. now those where good amps.

Most prefabbed vented 12" enclosures I've seen are about 1.5 cu ft box volume per sub.

PPI amps are still nice even though they aren't what they used to. No company's car audio is as nice as they were 10 years ago it seems.

At second look, I don't even know if that's a PPI anyway. I've never seen one of their amps with that clear window.

Thank you, I was going to mention this guy is from Russia, this car is probably amazing over there as it I'm sure SHOs are far and few. This surely is a one of a kind car over there (here too for that matter) and while it's not what I would do with mine, I think it's amazing how much work must have been put into this. I know for a fact he does a lot of a the work himself, remember the steering wheel he completely redid?
