#3 dual 3.5" round. They look the best.
I saw an immaculate 94 or 95 red SHO last night that had Gen 3 oval tips. It looked kind of odd. Too oval for that car. The car itself was beautiful, though. 2 young hotties in it too! thumbs_u

FWIW, I like the Borla turndowns on the GenI. IMO the rest of the above would be to much for the SHO.

3) Dual 3.5 inch round thumbs_u

It makes it look more "ballzy"...Something about the ovals don't work well with a Gen I or II...IMO.

Were you going to do a two of these or just a single muffler?

Has anyone seen a DTM tipped muffler on a SHO?

I'm most likely going with a single muffler(left side exit), with dual 3" outlets.

I saw a pic of a Gen1 with the DTM tips... didn't look so hot shoot

DTM tips are for DTM cars.....German touring cars.....not Taurus or crappy civics I see everywhere with these mufflers...but thats my opinion

I actually like the square ones. Look kinda unique and neat. Would probably look very nice on a Gen I as the car is more square cut.

ive seen the dual squared DTM mufflers on a 93 SHO and he kept his dual exhaust, so hes got 4 tips.... it looks, and sounds, like ass. like it makes the noise civics make sound like a V8, its disgusting.

I like the look of number 1. But I worry about the sound this will produce. What characteristics should I look for so that is doesn't sound raspy, (Civic) or too loud (Noise Ordinance)? #1 or #3 would be my choice, but like I said, how will these sound?

There gonna be loud no matter what because at the majority of these muffs are a straight-thru design. Only way that you could deepen the sound, you can install a stianless steel cat-back and most will tell you to remove the resonator, I myself have removed it and think it still sounds deep.
