I have a stock transmission from a 1989 sho . This is the original tranny and had about 140,000 on it . I drove the car to the grocery store one day , came back and parked it and seen fluid under the car . Evidently the diff pin has came out enough to wear a slight crack in the case . Ther is no big hole and the car still moved forward and backward in the driveway . The tranny worked excellent before this , so if Somebody wants it for some of the hard to find parts I would like to get it out of here . It is in a cut down 55 gallon barrel that My replacement tranny came in . I have had 4 shos and this was the smoothest transmission of all of them . I am the second owner , bought it with 66,000 miles . If You know how to switch cases and re pin the diff , You could make a good tranny . All the internals would need cleaned though , because the fluid had a lot of aluminum in it . The diff pin is not ejected trhough the case . If Someone wants it , or wants to see pics let Me know . I would like $ 25 + whatever it costs to ship it to You . Like I said , its already in a cut down barrel with a wooden lid . It is in Des Moines , Iowa if You wanted to come pick it up . Thanks .

Do you still have this and would it be possible to get a qoute for shipping to Jonesboro, Ar 72401. I have been looking for a good transmission to use for a mock up on a project without spending the money for a good one if it wont fit.

Thanks

Ship it in the barrel the other came in. Drain the remaining fluid , secure the barrel and use Greyhound. Probably less expensive than LTL. Mike

I'm interested.
This can be shipped to my work. We have dock doors and fork lifts.

Any idea what a trans would weigh? I checked shipping costs and using 150 lbs. it was $130. I figure 150 lbs would be the max.

I can't remember exactly what the last transmission I shipped weighed, but somewhere in the 120-130 range, and it was about $130 to ship UPS in a rubbermaid tub.
