Max tire size?

I did a quick search for tire size...unsuccessful. Anyone know what the widest tire i can put on the stock 20" rim is? Stock is 245/45-20. I have 2011 SHO PP.

I would not go any wider than a 255 on stock wheels.

by the way replacing my 19" with 20" and am going Conti DWS 245/45/20 but agree with DJE 255 is about especially on front.

No that's not me on youtube but I agree, LOVE the sound of it! Funny you mention the Conti DWS 245/45/20's I just had them installed today at a local tire shop...$230ea mounted and balanced.

Most of the guys who have SHO's w/ catbacks that I talk to have Corsa but I as well couldn't be any happier with Borla. Have that deep baritone sound. Corsa's are more high pitched. Well then there are atleast 3 of us around.

I ask myself that same question about the tire width... With an aftermarket rim with at least the width of 8.5 inches.. do you think you would be able to apply 275/40/20 tires on the front? I know the rears will be fine. Just wondering if that can mount with rubbing the inner walls at a full turn.

i went with stock size for now 245/45/20....when i decide to do aftermarket wheels i'll look more into it then. the place i buy that stuff from is good at figuring that stuff out.

Does anyone know if a 255/50r20 will fit on a 2011? 4 Goodyear RS-As fell in my lap and I want to know if they will fit on the 20 inch rims and clear everything...

How do you have Borla system? Right now I'm on Borla.com and there's absolutely nothing for the Taurus / SHO. ???

Why would you want 275s?

We have at least one person running 20x10 wheels with 275/35/20 tires. Wouldn't run those tires on a 20x8.5 wheel though, too much overhang. More than 1" total overhang is not recommended. You can compare here:

I’m running 275/45r20 with no rub . When the car was on h and r springs it did rub though.
