So have any of you ever lost control on one of those roundabout eurpeon turn things..lol...well I did tonight. I was going about 30 the road was still really wet aparrently. And somehow either I lost control or I hit the center island. Most likely both and car just kept going stright through the turn. Car hit right curb hard and then jumped onto a triangle curb to the left runnng over a traffic sign and then stragtened out.

The damage: some scuffs on the left side of bumper. Gouge in left tire enough to not start leaking till I got home(lucky). And right rim is all scrapped up. Not to mention allignment is way off now. I may need a rim if someone has one send me pm. Ill post tommarrow after work on what I need for sure on proper damage report if they will inspect the car for me.

Well I had to put on the donut this morning as the tire with the gash was flat. Half way to work I heard a pop. And then another. Pulled over and of course the donut exploded well it still was holding air when I pulled over. The bad alignment and slight bounce must have been to much for it. The guy that towed it in when he backed it up to park it my tranny fluid went all over our parking lot. Is it possible he caused it? Or did the donut cause it? As far as we can tell by looking there is a tranny line by that tire that is loose now were it crimps. Any thoughts

You popped it by putting a donut on the front.

How so?
Last time I put the spare on the back as I didn't want it on the front I figured it would be best on the back. But I know people put donuts on the front all the time with no problem. Is it because the alignmet was so bad causing a bounce speed was about 35 or 40

Being an ass aside. You have 2 functions with your front wheel. Steering and acceleration are these functions.

No it did not pop because it was on the front, but it wasn't the smartest or probably dumbest thing you've ever done. You probably have broken or bent bits in there. I, myself just dealt with a broken knuckle bolt from an unmarked bump by a construction zone. Hopefully your deal is as simple.

The trans line could be because you smashed the whole front end into a curb or a chunk of the spare caught it. Replace it and look over everything up front.

I inspected the tires and under the front after it happened. The car drove to my buddies and then the 25 miles to my house. I put the donut on in the morning. There was no leak then. Donut busted five miles from work and my work is about 15 miles. From home. I had no leaks before the tire blew that I'm sure of.

That does not mean that there was no leak. It means you didn't see it or the line didn't break then. Either way if a line is busted fix it. It's a simple thing that you're over complicating.

Take car of the suspension as it's busted and while you're in there-or the shop- change the line.

I feel like you're over complicating this. You smashed a curb, it happens. Stuff gets bent or broken, but stuff can be replaced. It's a learning experience and you should be humbled nothing worse happened.

I wouldn't drive on something I just wrecked without inspecting it thoroughly unless I had absolutely no other choice.

There was no leak before. The spare blew. When the donut blew the wire from tire must have slashed the hose that runs from the top of the transmission to the cooler. ill get a pic of it tommarrow or monday. the alignment is so bad because the right strut is bent throwing the top of the right tire out. Were getting it alligned now where sam works. We will work on struts Monday hopefully

Your little curb hop could have hit/bent/damaged the lines enough for them to almost break but not quite . Then after you driving/bouncing around it broke the rest of the way whala .. ATF leak .

The old line is off the car and its mostly fixed other than the bent right strut. I seen the line and even helped take it. The only damage to it was clearly from the donut shredding and slicing the rubber hose on the line. Ill post a pic of it tommarrow probly...

Seeing as the how I have no money there doing this for me to keep me on the road. Not quite do exactly what id like but still. I'm very greatfull. I have all new tranny fluid now I wanted them to put a new gasket and filter in to save me the fluid cost later but oh well...and also I have an interesting tranny cooler on the car but maybe I should start a new thread for that?

Haha gotta love the jokes...I mean everyone telles me I must have been going 50 but I swear I was going between 30 and. 40. But it was a sharp roundabout and the roads were slippery and I normally don't brake much if at all around corners....I guess its just me being stupid and now I'm paying for it. But side from the tranny line. It was just a typical curb buster.

The culprit to my tranny fluid spill.

I can't believe the wire from the donut made it that far to cut the line.
