Its been a while since I have looked and im sure someone will correct me if im wrong but if you remove the back of the rear seat, you would be able to remove the plastic trunk "barrier". After that, you might be able to squeeze your way into the trunk and unbolt the latch on the trunk lid.

It's been many many years but I think this is about correct--Get a small flathead screwdriver, loosen the plastic around the interior lock mechanism, pry and jiggle the lock cylinder from the bottom and it should pop back up.

Run a search and you should find a post or two confirming this or a slight alteration of it. I know you can get it to pop back up.

If you unscrew the plastic trim around the keyhole, you can see two cables running back under it. One is for the gas cap; one is for the trunk. Yank on both until the trunk releases.

Does this car have keyless entry? If it does you can open the trunk from the keypad.

Do as hawkeye18 said. There are two cables. Also you can bend the metal arm that locks the cable so you cant lock the trunk with the button. I had to do this on my 90.

When I got the car it was locked and I didnt know it, so I pulled up on the lever as hard as I could, and it unlocked anyway.

If you need to just pull on the lever pretty hard... but if it doesnt pop dont break it.

Better way is like Drivinfast said... enter the code on your door then hit 5...

if its a gen1 0r 2 you can go to the trunk above the license plate youll see a small rivit drill that out, then pull the locker that holds the cylinder for the key, then slide out the cylinder.then u can use a flathead to pop the trunk.take cylinder with you and have re keyed.(just an Option)thats what ive done
