Lights flashing when using key fob

I just bought my '95 ATX this weekend and love it so far. I just have one quick question. When I use the remote to lock & unlock it, are the lights supposed to flash? Mine currently don't, and I'm not sure what the problem is if there is one.

I don't think the light flash on my 97. Only the dome light comes on or goes out.
And the horn honks if I hit the lock button twice.

yeah ford didnt get the lights to flash on the fob on a Taurus til 2000.
