The 3.4L is basically the same as the 2.5L? Right? Has anyone thought of mounting a supercharger or turbo built for the 2.5 onto the 3.4?
As long as the pulleys are in the same place, the idea is feasible. The battery would get moved to the trunk. I've seen pics of a supercharger in the V6 SHO's. I think the end result would look the same. The boost might have to be turned down a bit to avoid tearing up the transmission.
Another problem might be that airflow would be compomised. SO instead of the 304(turbo) use the 404 (found in Ford diesel trucks). More CFM.'
Any ideas...or has someone already tried?
