Can someone give the part numbers for the KYB GR-2 struts that work for the replacement SARC's for the 98 sho? (front and rears) Mine are getting pretty bad and loud I think it is time to replace them. I think I need to replace the sway bar end links and the strut mounts also. Is this normal replacement stuff when you put new struts in? Anyone have any tips or suggestions for this process? Thanks.

I don't have the P/N's handy, but just get the KYB's for any '96-'99 Taurus/Sable sedan (even though the listings will specificly say "except SHO" -- just ignore that part).

Any time you replace struts, it's a good idea to use all new mounts and bearings, and replace any worn/broken endlinks Just make sure whoever does the work swaps the lower spring seats (insulators) from your OE struts to the new ones.

That is, unless you use new Ford/Motorcraft SARCs, right?

I bought all Gabriel stuff last night including all new mounts. Also new Ford front sway bar end links.
Does the rear seat have to come out to get the rear struts out? How do I go about doing that, from inside the car or through the trunk area or both??

Rear seat is a snap. Push in on the front of the bottom half of the seat and lift. Bottom half will come off. Then old down the back and remove the 4 bolts, one in each corner. The remove the rear decklid and you will see the strut mounts
