I think they are more of the stock replacement piece. Some have used them with performance springs and said they are ok others found them to be worn out very fast with the higher spring rates of the performance springs.

See that's what I'm worried about, I'm getting the Intrax springs cause it's cheaper than stock, so why not, but I'm worried since I don't have the money for Tokiyos my new stock struts will be worn out in NO time!

See im running the kyb gr-2 with Roush springs and I havn't had any problems with them AT ALL ... I replaced the stock struts with these at around 80k miles, and im at 107k right now with no signs of wearing out.

I had the KYB GR-2's on my old '98 Mystique with Ground Controls lowering the car ~3 inches. It was downright scary at points. Any bump and the tires would not keep contact with the road eek!

If I wasnt lowered as much Im sure they would have been able to do their job much better. If I had to do it over it would be with Koni's or Tokico's at least.

well, i know konis are the best but the issue is money cause im in college, and I don't have a ton of money to throw around. i may just go with tokico/eibach if i can afford it.
