I was just wandering if any one else has encountered this problem.

The KONI inserts are leaking from the adjusters. If you press down on them or turn then, they squirt out some shock oil. I'm guessing theres an o-ring that probably wore out. I also noitced the shocks don't valve as good anymore, They probably don't have 10,000 miles on them and a set of Eibachs. I hope can get them fixed.

I have run on Koni's for approximently 100k miles ...

My first set on the my first SHO. Blew the front right out twice in 10K miles. Leaked all fluid out, and would not support any weight.
The backs went out around the 40K mark.

Current SHO.
The front right is not fairing to well as of now. This set up currently has about 40K on them.

Koni's are good while they last ... but they do fail.

Yes, they do have a lifetime warranty. Contact Koni for the specific details. I think if one goes out, they just send you an new full set.

BTW my front drivers side started leaking yesterday also. I will contact them and see what is necessary to get a new one.

Konis have a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser only(I'm pretty sure about that). They will not give you a full set unless the full set is leaking. You have to send in the bad inserts before they send anything back, which means you have a laid up car till you get the replacements. They are really good about shipping stuff right away, though. I tryed to get a Koni coil over replace once but since I didnt have the original receipt with my name on it I was SOL. No matter what try and get them to replace them you have nothing to lose. If anything you can get them rebuilt and revalved by an after market company.

On a side note:
I do not recommend the Koni/eibach combo on a SHO. The Konis are great with a linear spring or even the stock springs because they control rebound dampaning really well. But since they are oil filled and not gas charged like tokkikos, they dont have any built in preload to deal with the initial softness of the eibachs, and over time (I found somewhere between 3-5k miles, on both my previous sho's) all the little bumps and dips you deal with in daily driving take their toll on the konis because they get compressed too quick, too far and too often. If you could tune in more compression damping that would help. But we cant.

Tokkiko and eibachs have been a proven reliable combo from what I've seen. For me, I make spring decisions based on my struts/shocks (the Konis)so I'll keep my trimmed stock springs untill I can get ahold of some SS linears or coil overs. I have not had any experiance w/Intrax so I cant make a realtive comparison between those and the eibachs.

Koni/Intrax combo works fine for reference, little bit on the rougher side for a daily driver, but the handling is SWEET! :D
