hey i was thinking about getting konis for my car but i see it says that you need the oem inserts what does that mean?

You will need the OEM strut case for the Koni adj. insert. If you have stock Macpherson struts they will have to be disassembled, and the koni insert would fit into the stock strut housing. Quite a bit of work, but people swear by them.

Im not sure if KYB's would work because they are somewhat tapered at the bottom. Im not positive though.

hmmmm ok cause i do have the kybs on my car now and want to get something different since they are starting to go. i was thinking about getting the tokicos on my car paired with the eibachs that i already have.

Some trimming is necessary to make the koni's fit. There were some vendors that sold the koni's already installed, you need to send in your originals for the core charge return.
