knock knock ?

well i just started hering this knockin coming from the motor it comes and goes .. at idle ... usind a screwdriver i hear the sound most predominant on the front valve cover closest to the throttle body... i s this a bad lifter or rod bering .. how much do shop carge to fix this ..?? as it sounds to be a single knock like a light hammer tap it goes away on acceleration

You dont have lifters.

Sounds like you have a bad chain tensioner. I dont think they are making them anymore, but you can use a junk yard one.
