I just bought a set of Michelins from Discount Tire yesterday for my truck, I found out you can't combine rebates between manufacturers and Discount Tire. Michelin has a $70 debit card rebate on 4 tires that expires today that I couldn't combine with the $50 rebate Discount was already doing.

With the $30 discount, I was telling them since I couldn't combine the rebates, it would be cheaper for me to order the tires from Tire Rack and have them install them. I also told him I was going to come back after doing some more research now knowing I couldn't combine the rebate. in a desperate attempt to keep me from leaving, he then applied the $30 discount to my total without me having to sign up for their card, so I ordered them. He just used a discount code in his computer. So maybe if you haggle them enough, you can get that too, without the card

Strange.
I bought my GT's right before christmas with DTD's $100 rebate. $30 DTD credit card rebate, and a $40 GY rebate. I don't remember any complications.
Regardless - with just the $100 rebate there are a lot of good deals.
