Just Curious--Is this Garbage?

Do they even work? Not planning on buying one but just wondered if anyone had, and if so, what did it do?

I was just surfing Ebay and found it; wasn't going to "waste" my $250. I did a google search on them and they have mixed reviews; but pretty much what I gathered, there's no miracle hp generator that's just plug and play like that. Didn't know if anyone else had bought one, that's all.

Well did some calling... talked to the ebay vendor & the Jet performance manufactor. Jet says that you might get about 13 H.P. gain using this chip & premuim fuel. $ 250 for a 13 H.P. gain doesn't seem too good to me. I mean can you even feel a 13 H.P. gain? If you do... you have very sensitive buttocks.
Oh & for something even more hilarious is that if you use regular fuel with this "performance module" due to knock sensor & advance plus retard equals a net gain of NOTHING!!!
Don't sign me up for this one.

I figured it was crap. There's no magic plug in to make your car go from meh to pure awesomeness. Kinda like hoping a bottle of snake oil will fix engine damage.

You can find a used LPM for a LOT cheaper......

Yep, I also heard that the LPM does wonders on the gen1's shift points

it made a big difference after I swapped out the factory blower pulley to a smaller diameter one too.

(may be confusing his old Gen 1 SHO with a GTP?)
