Anybody? I'm gonna be looking for SHOs and mid-70's Ford Trucks. And anything else interesting.

Thinking about going Saturday after lunch or Sunday in the morning, probably hitting the u-pull-it yards southwest of Sky Harbor.

just saw this post. I love to go junk yarding.

Anyhow, on to why I'm really posting. I saw that you have a Pontiac Torpedo. I wanted to know what one looked like so I went to google. Cool car! Then, because I like knowing how much stuff is worth, I went to ebay to see how much a torpedo can be had for. None to be had.... WOW!

How much do you charge to view your auto museum? I'd like to see your collection. I have a 66 lemans. Sadly it is in storage and it will be staying there for a little while longer.

Yeah, a lot of my cars are in storage in various places, too.

The '40 Pontiac, my '55 Chevy Truck, and my '68 LeMans are still in Florida with friends until I can retrieve them. My blue '93 SHO MTX is at my brother-in-law's in FL in a perpetual state of "for sale". I have my '57 Dodge tow truck in storage out in Apache Junction.

The rest of the vehicles in my sig are currently almost completely filling my driveway. Want a '75 Safari or '59 Ford F600 Flatbed? My neighbors would be delighted. They might even chip in.

Donovan's old green machine '91 is currently buried in the garage awaiting either a full teardown or new owner, whichever comes first.

Hit me up the next time you want to hit the junkyard. I always have stuff I'm looking for. I'll PM you with my cell#.

that car's name when I had it was Grace. or %*($!* depending on whether the damn timing belt tensioner was installed or not.

i've been trying to justify a way to buy it from you and get a new clutch in it for months now Josh... :-(

Ah, so you are assuming that your "broken pressure plate strap" theory is correct, and not my "several rods knocking" theory? Yeah, I do need to tear into it and find out.

its looking like we're coming down to AZ for Xmas around mid december. If you haven't got to it by then, or sold it I may consider bringing a clutch with me and trying to sweet talk Tom into letting me borrow the lift and letting the thing darken my doorstep once more.

I wont lie, I miss it, and I miss the near 30mpg I used to get compared to now, with everything I own having a windsor block in it.

I'll be in touch Josh, maybe I can finagle my boss into flying me down there soon and we can both stare at it over beers.

Don't do it man!

Ok, if you're gonna do it, you need to rent a bore scope so you can peep the pressure plate straps without tearing way into it. I am thinking you can drill a wee little hole to fit the scope into. I'm a pretty good bore scope driver but I doubt I can borrow one from work for a day... I will feel them out for it. (it came in handy one day when I was bored.... I looked in all the cylinders to see if they had hardened valve seats, look for leaky valve seals and check the cross hatching. all was good except for 1 valve with a slight leak. it isn't anything a LS swap won't fix:D
