After I went done an undisclosed dirt road at speeds I'd rather not say I have noticed that whenever I am cruising at a steady speed that the SHO will "****" or "lurch" randomly as if the clutch was quickly pressed/depressed.

The effect is the same as feeding the clutch too quickly from a stand still, only it's felt at highway speeds. It seems to happen more frequently at lower rpms, mainly when I am below 2k on the tachometer. Another factor is that it happens more often and more pronounceable when the car is moving on a negative slope (downhill) even if the slope is ever so slight. It wil happens at any speed, it is rpm dependent.

It happens at random, even if I have the cruise control set, or will "lurch" at will, it's not violent but it's noticeable and annoying, I know it means something is wrong . It doesn't do it when I am accelerating and I haven't it when ever I am cruising at rpms over 2500k.

MY initial thoughts are either/or both the clutch and pressure plate being worn out as the clutch has 60k miles on it and the last 20k I haven't been gentle (20-60 punches, 50-80 punches) but I don't slip it much and this only started occurring AFTER I went down a bumpy road at speed (don't ask why).

The second thought it the motor mounts or tranny mount as all 3 are getting worn out and ready to go.

I'm not sure. So I cam here to see what you gents have to say.

Thoughts?

The "bumpy road" is the key to your problem.

It sounds like a bad electical connection, especially when you said that your mounts are shot.

Check your connections carefully.

DIS. Not a bad thought, didn't occur to me since it ran fine at idle and under load but it's logical, I'm going to go check now.

I have also noticed jerky response from a sticking iac, but I think the wiring or dis issues are more likely.
