Is the SERVICE KIT 120K from SHOSOURCE worth it?

I guess if you need all of it. How many miles and what transmission do you have?
Do you know any of the previous maintenance history on the car? Perhaps the previous owner did some of it.

to be honest i dont know much about the car because i bought it from an online auction ... i am just trying plan ahead of things. thinking i should replace belts and water pump regardless.... last time i had a 1997 volvo 850 where the timing belt snapped and i ruined the engine ... so rather not have that again.
That is good planning to look ahead, but the SHO engine is non interference. Hence, if the timing belt breaks, the engine is still okay. You can look at the water pump to see if it looks like the original or if it looks like it was replaced. That might give you an idea if the front 60K had been done.
Do the spark plug wires have the see through wrapping going around them, if so then those are the originals wires. If they are bare, then they have been replaced at one time. Pull one of the spark plug wires and see if there is any oil in the plug wells. if there is no oil, then you should be okay until you are ready for the 120K service.

The NGK wires come with the same clear covering as the OE wires too. So look close.
Are the NGK wire the same as the ones from AC Delco, 826Q. I forgot the AC Delco wires also came with the clear covering too (getting old)

I never used the Delco wires but yes I think they were the same.

I loved those delco wires as replacement. Rod bearings can probably wait. If you want to have them on the shelf for next year or get frisky and do it now that's cool. There are cheaper wires that will work ok. The ones in the kit are nice though. That's not alot of miles on the tensioner. I never had to replace one so someone else will have to comment on when is a good time to replace it. IF you want a good fresh start I would do the water pump and new coolant, timing belt and while it is exposed a new front crank seal. The top I would look at plugs and wires and valve cover gaskets if they are leaking. You need to check the spark plug wiring setup and firing order. There used to be some misprint of firing order in some manuals if I remember correctly. Give the hoses a once over if they are original they may or may not have started to degrade over so many years.

If you have a few extra dollars to spend examine the suspension bushings. If they are original rubber they are probably due from age alone. Keep in mind that replacement struts available are limited to oem regular taurus and your springs are not the same spec. That is my pet peeve for my car the last few years along with crank sensors.

Power steering is atf type f i believe. For trans, gonna have to see what your ****** likes. They are all particular for some reason. Syncromesh, redline, type f, cheap atf, mobile 1, just to name a few favorites. I use full synthetic high mileage valvoline, but i think its likely more important to just make sure its changed frequently and only use the proper filter. I stick with the motorcraft one.

I bought the 120k with every extra option it had. Was it "needed"? No. But helps me sleep better knowing I seen and checked the engine inside and out. Do yourself a favor and change the rod bearings. It's cheap insurance. When I bought mine it didnt tick, knock, rattle, nothing. When I pulled the rod bearings, one was spun. Would have been alot more work to fix if i had let it go much longer.
