Howdy everyone! I've seen a plethora of useful info here so far. I'm just a young MechE who likes cars, science, welding, and driving and roadtripping through the rust belt, sometimes down south.
I'm just gonna get to it, I saw this forum and specifically made an account to see what help I could get regarding what I think will be my next project car. I call it "The 500HP Ford Five Hundred" I Plan on engine swapping a Taurus SHO front end into a five Hundred, troubleshooting that, then running eth (maybe meth) and getting a tune from there. I'm wondering what will go wrong with the swap. The engine should "fit" as in occupy the space in the five hundred but after that it I don't know. I'm also wondering whats the best (and cost effective) way to get to 500 crank HP? I figure I'll only be using this car as a weekend car, maybe groceries, car shows, etc. So it only needs to make 500PS peak at the crank really. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you!
