Hello everyone!
I'm new to the forum and new to the Ecoboost and boosted vehicles in general.
I recently got a good deal on an ex-police Ecoboost taurus.
I've done a bit of research and got enough information to know that I want a tune and some go fast parts.
My questions are, has anyone done this with one of these cars? I know they have a higher final drive than any SHO, so they have at least a launch advantage.
My other question is does anyone know if i can get the paddle shifters working in my car and can i get the shifter down on the floor.\
A little about the car, I purchased it as "not running". When i went to get it, I found that it would crank, but not run for more than a few seconds.
I took the exhaust apart and found that the bank 1 cat self destructed and clogged the rear cat. I gutted both cats and removed the rear cat.
Now I have a terrible rasp at high RPM's, but the car runs and drives amazing. It's got 156k miles and everything seems to work perfect.
