The car is a 1994 Ford Taurus SHO 3.2L, VIN P, and 180,000 miles. The car stalls intermittently (not knowing when it is going to happen). Sometimes it starts right back up or takes more than an hour to start up.
It has given me these codes : 211 (PIP circuit fault), and 556 (Fuel pump primary circuit failure). The 211 code always shows back up after running it. At first I thought it was overheating, but it is not. I looked at the cps and this seems like a probable cause. After it quits and try to crank it gives no spark what so ever until you let the car sit several hours. SHOZ123 told me "PIP is the crank sensor though it usually will not give a code." He has always been helpful to me, but why would it not give a code? Would the DIS module cause these problems? Since it has 180,000 mi, I do not know when the 60k was done, but none the less it is due for another. Other than that the car runs very well, no knocks or pings. :braincramp: Is there anything else you could think of?
Any help and input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
David
